This year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration and Death Camp. This meaningful program includes a guided tour reflecting on the history and significance of Auschwitz. Engage in a thought-provoking talk with author Kathy Kacer, who will share insights on adapting Max Eisen’s best-selling memoir By Chance Alone (2016) for young readers, ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust resonate with future generations. The event also offers opportunities for reflection through thoughtful prompts, encouraging deep engagement with the history and its lessons. Don’t miss this chance to learn, remember, and reflect together.

Following this program the afternoon continues with Hear It Here First, a new series of audiobooks from the Azrieli Foundation’s Holocaust Survivors Memoirs Program. Be the first to hear stories from Canadian Holocaust survivors in their own voices.
