Inspired by the work of French surrealist and avant-garde artists Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore, professional photographer Barb Simkova will be leading this Trans Awareness Week self-portraiture workshop.
Participants will learn about Cahun and Moore’s Jewish, lesbian life partnership in the French Resistance during the Second World War, and how to craft their own narrative through photography.
No advance experience required; please bring a cellphone with camera to participate in the hands-on portion of the workshop.
