Yom Hashoah V'Hagvurah 2026 | Community Commemoration

April 13, 2026 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Community event Community event

On the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, we reflect on the Jewish family, how it was fractured, transformed, and reimagined during the Holocaust, and how those experiences shape Jewish continuity today. This dynamic commemoration brings community together through survivor testimony, music, and a meaningful candle lighting ceremony.

Your presence matters. Together we affirm the importance of honouring these Jewish families – past, present, and future – and demonstrate our shared commitment to the legacy of the Holocaust.

Join the Toronto Holocaust Museum – together with Ashkenaz Foundation, the Azrieli Foundation’s Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program, Canadian Society for Yad Vashem, Facing History & Ourselves, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, March of the Living Canada, Ontario Jewish Archives, and The Living Legacy Experience – as we co-present the annual Yom Hashoah commemoration for the community.

This program is generously supported by UJA’s Kultura Collective project grant.
